Andrew Couch, Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University
Andrew Couch, from Huntsville, Alabama, is a PhD student in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University, focusing on decision and risk analysis. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and earned an additional bachelor’s in Management at just 17. Andrew’s research bridges data science with community impact, tackling challenges in STEM education, school safety, and workforce shortages. As an Engineering Research Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, he works on advancing technology access for small enterprises. He is a widely published researcher with a mission to improve the economic well-being of individuals and communities through data-driven decision-making.
