About
Bonnie Crater is co-founder and board director of the Center for Lyme Action nonprofit. Bonnie is also co-founder and co-chair of Bay Area Lyme Foundation and former chair of the BAL science committee which drives the research agenda, champions innovation, makes grants, and seeks partners to chart new paths in Lyme research.
With more than 7000 Lyme and tick-borne disease advocates across 50 states, her Center for Lyme Action non-profit has lobbied Congress and nearly tripled federal funding. She was honored in the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2013 Top 100 Women of Influence.
Bonnie is a 3-time CEO and is currently the President and CEO of Vigna Biosciences a company focused on curing chronic illnesses. She also serves on the board of the Lyme Disease Biobank, CB Wellness Foundation, and on the Town of Portola Valley’s Nature and Science Committee. Ms. Crater holds an AB in Biology from Princeton University.
